AKA dropped the song with Khuli Chana, Burna Boy and Yanga a few weeks back but delayed the music video to this week, even though, as AKA admits, it is under unfortunate circumstances

New Music | Aewon Wolf & Mashayabhuqe KaMamba - Fees Must Fall

There’s A Powerful #FeesMustFall Protest Anthem From Aewon Wolf & Mashayabhuqe KaMamba

So begins Durban-based rapper Aewon Wolf on his and Digital Maskandi artistMashayabhuqe KaMamba’s just-released protest track, an update to their thunderous “Sukumani” collaboration.
The original song, released in February, is about “every African standing up for what’s right,” Mashayabhuqe tells Okayafrica over email. According to the Johannesburg-based musician, his friend Aewon Wolf was in the studio Wednesday night working on a song about this week’s nationwide #FeesMustFall protests when he had the idea of using the “Sukumani” chorus on the track. “I agreed because I personally felt it was relevant and simple to comprehend,” he says. “And yeah, the rest is history.”
Mashayabhuqe tells us the protests mean “unity, goal-driven youth and having a voice.” “We’re the youth and have showed the world how powerful we are when we come together as one. This is not a racial thing, it’s every South African kid’s issue, and I support them.”
For both artists, the threat of increased tuition is an issue that hits especially close to home. Mashayabhuqe dropped out of the University of South Africa during his second year of pursuing a BA in communication science, due to money issues. He also has a nephew to consider. “I’m looking at him thinking one day I’ll be spending millions on him for his education. Nah, that’s not right. I understand education is our NEED but it shouldn’t be this expensive.”
“This the shit I went through before,” an impassioned Aewon Wolf raps on the track about his own experience with tuition fees as a law school student. “I was fucking stressed out of my mind working four jobs, just to pay these fees we gonna need more money please. And I really want a degree [to help me] get a J.O.B., but now I need the J.O.B. just to get the degree, and that sounds like the wrong way.”
“I’m just saying, somebody must help, this can’t be right,” says Mashayabhuqe. “We’re a small country. Education should be accessible.”

DJ Sbu gives his take on AKA & Cassper beef

DJ Sbu has added his voice to the chorus of celebs offering support to Cassper's ambitious #FillUpTheDome show at the end of the month - and it's got nothing to do with his hip hop allegiances.
Sbu is a hip hop fan (just watch this video of him rapping along to some hip hop beats in the car here) but more than that he is an entrepreneur with an appreciation for big ideas!  So, naturally he's excited about Cassper's #FillUpTheDome idea.

He took to Instagram recently to tell his fans that Cassper's project is not about taking sides in the beef between Cassper and AKA, but rather supporting local music.

"It is not whether you like AKA or dislike Cassper Nyovest," Sbu wrote. "Both have elevated the game to the next level & deserve to be supported 100% fully. I'm a fan of both & I salute them for thinking big. They have made HIP HOP exciting again with their competitive lyrical prowess & winners attitude."
Talking about Cassper's historic concert at the end of the month, Sbu wrote: "This is bigger than one genre of music. It's for every SA Entertainer to know that the time has come and we are capable of filling up these venues without the help of international acts.
31st October we'll be doing it for SA Entertainment when we #fillupthedome #HistoryInTheMaking.

New Music | Khuli Chana - Money

After a wait that seemed like an eternity, Khuli Chana has finally released his new single, Money - and, well, the internet was never ready!
The track debuted on radio last week, but fans who were not able to tune in have been begging Khuli to drop the single, so they too can give it a listen.
Well Khuli finally granted them their wish by releasing the contagious track on Wednesday morning.

The internet, which went crazy when the track made it's radio debut, once again went into meltdown. Within minutes the track was one of the most talked about topics on Twitter, and had been downloaded more than 13,000 times in its first five hours.

And Khuli fans won't have to wait much longer for their next fix. Khuli is set to drop a mega track with AKA and Reason this coming Friday!

Bonang Matheba covers Women's Health

TV and radio personality Bonang Matheba sizzles on the latest issue ofWomen's Health magazine.
Bonang was chosen as the cover star for the mag's annual November swimsuit edition.
Editor Danielle Weakley revealed that Bonang was chosen for the mag's swimsuit edition because she embodies the new trend - that being fit is a holistic approach.
"Traditionally, we shoot a swimsuit edition every year around November – and I think Bonang just summed up the mood of the moment. Globally, health is about so much more than just fitness – it's about being both fit and healthy in body and in mind – and I think she rocks this concept," Danielle told The Juice.

Bonang's photoshoot for the mag looks all kinds of amazing, but believe it or not, even she was rather shy about showing off her sexy body in those swimsuits.
"With age, comes a bit of maturity and self-confidence. I’m quite a conservative girl. The clothes I wear every day or on the red carpet, I’m always kind of very covered. It takes a lot. Even with this shoot, I’m still nervous, but I’m better than I was five or six years ago," Bonang told the mag.

In the magazine spread Bonang also revealed some of her secrets to living a healthy life.
"What people don’t know is my job's not always about eating out. I do a lot of meditating, I have a spiritual healer, there’s a lot of quiet time, relaxing. It’s a whole package that fits together. With a healthy body, spirit and mind, it all works together. You can drink water, eat right and work out here and there, but you also need to make sure that your skin’s healthy, your soul is healthy, that your heart is happy, that you do regular check-ups. It’s a full-faceted thing," she explained.
