WEEKLY HIP HOP FEATURE: "REASON"... THE MASS
Growing up in the dirty streets of Katlehong "K1" reason has never been shy of the big stage, participating in his high school talent shows "Germiston High School". Reason used to win Hip Hop Dance and Rap competitions and definitely won the minds and hearts of the streets. A couple of years back Reason parked his Hip Hop ambitions to follow the expected route of the career world, but his intuition and passion for the Hip Hop game would not allow him. in 2010 he come back into the industry and release his mixtape duped "The beast against the beats". This mixtape gave him real recognition in the Hip Hop industry which got the likes of Zubs and Tumi from Tumi and the Volume interested and intrigued by the young rapper.
2012 Reason released his debut album titled "Audio 3D". The album was set to revolutionise the entire Hip Hop industry, with a combination of different genres ranging from Rock to dance music, and coupled with hardcore, street swag, conscious lyrics. To date he has walked away with the Best Hip Hop Album of the year 2012 from the controversial SA Hip Hop Awards.
