Warrick Stock aka Warras was born in Durban and went to primary school there whilst staying with his grandmother. He then moved to Jozi when he was a teenager and quickly adapted to the fast-paced environment.He was given an opportunity by Vukile Zondi to become a jock at YFM as Zondi, the former Programming Manager at YFM saw talent in him in 2007. He started work as a dj with the new line-up in April 2008, and Warras has continued to grow even more in the music fraternity.
Also known as ‘The Shady Lurker’, Warrick is fast becoming one of the most popular personalities around, and is also taking over the club scene as a dj. Watch this space as this young dynamo seems poised to take on the industry.
In 2011 Warrick Stock hosted Prime Mode on YFM weekdays from 12pm-3pm and in 2012 he is the host of Undisputed 6pm-9pm weekdays. In September 2012 he was named as a new co-host (with Luthando Shosha) of the SABC1 music magazine programme Live Amplified, from Season 14.
