SAMA Tickets now available

Tickets for the eagerly anticipated music event of the year, the 19th Annual MTN South African Music Awards (MTN SAMA 19) to be held at the Sun City Superbowl on Saturday 11 May 2013 have gone on sale at Computicket outlets countrywide.

Those wishing to witness the glamour and excitement of this incredible event can purchase tickets for gallery seats which have been set at R330.00 per person including entrance to the Public After Party in the Hall of Treasures. Golden Circle will for the first time be available to the public this year (there are very limited spaces) and these coveted tickets will go for R400.00 per person and will also include access to the Public After Party in the Hall of Treasures.

A lot of the nominated artists have already started campaigning for this eagerly awaited event .To a lot of these artists, being nominated for a SAMA is considered a great achievement considering the fact that there are a lot of other talented artists that could have been nominated. So you can imagine that it’s not that simple to make it in that top 5 nominee list of a particular category, thus many artists celebrate even if they do not win the awards. Being nominated is a sign that an artist‘s hard work and effort they put in their music is recognized. 

This year’s nominations are very competitive , and on many categories its not easy to even predicts who’s going take the award home. However we got a few predictions of our own nonetheless , Mahoota vs Vetkuk to take home at minimum 2 or 3 awards, they are nominated in five categories including : Remix of the year istokvel , record of the year for istokvel , Best Duo/Group ,Best Dance album for Dinaledi and Lastly Best played song on radio for Via Orlando .  However i am suprised that Via Orlando was not nominated for remix of the year let alone song of the year because of the record , we all know its the 2012 Song of the year. Anyways good luck to all the nominees.
