"UVELAPHI" NEW TV SHOW ON MZANSI MAGIC


This saying also applies to the many local celebrities who left their villages, townships and provinces to seek fame and fortune in Joburg.
TV presenter and voice-over artist Trevor Gumbi takes a journey with these stars in the new season to find out where they come from and how those places shaped who they are today.
Gumbi, a well-known comedian, writer and actor, is best known for co-hosting Mzansi Magic entertainment magazine shows such as Headline, 10 over10 and as the travel show host in Msawawa True South With Trevor Gumbi.He takes over as the new host for this season from Thomas Gumebi.
 
uVelaphi revolves around South African legends who return to their roots.Viewers experience these journeys at first hand with Toyota, and get to know the other side of the celebrities we see on TV every day.It shows that big dreams do indeed start small! This season of uVelaphi will feature celebrities such as gospel queen Rebecca Malope, Sipho “BigFish” Makhabane, Moneoa, JSomething of Micasa Music and many others. It will reveal what they loved most about their childhood. Trevor will also feature in a new movie due to start in September, called Hear Me Move.
