Old Mutual Music in the Gardens 2014
Mi Casa and AKA will be kicking off Youth Month celebrations as part of the 10th year anniversary celebration of the South African National Biodiversity Institute’s.
Old Mutual Music in the Gardens will host two concerts this June as part of these celebrations.
Soulful deep house kingpins Mi Casa, the winners of multiple South African Music Awards, will perform with fellow soulful house sensation Donald at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens during a chilled Sunday afternoon on June 8.
The following Sunday, June, 15, sees multiple SAMA-winning hip-hop supremo AKA, fellow rapper Reason, and MC and poet Tumi Molekane (formerly of Tumi and the Volume) bringing their essential sounds to the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens in Roodepoort.
Both concerts start at 1pm and gates open at 11am. Old Mutual sponsorship manager, Bandile Mngoma, said in a statement: “We are thrilled to bring the country’s most dynamic young music talents this Youth Month as part of SANBI’s 10th year celebration of preserving biodiversity and developing youth.”
“We hope these Sunday concerts will bring great entertainment to our audience and help raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding our natural diversity.”
