Universal South Africa has awarded TRESOR Riziky with a gold plaque and double platinum plaque for his songwriting contribution to Zahara’s multi-platinum selling album, Phendula.
“I am totally excited about receiving these platinum plaques for my work on Zahara's sophomore album from Universal Music Group. It's a dream come true. Working with Zahara and her producers Robbie Malinga and Mjakes of Hit House Records was really amazing, probably the best experience of my music career to date” shares TRESOR Riziky.
TRESOR Riziky’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He was a struggling musician working as security guard in Durban before getting recognition for his talents on platforms such as Idols Season 6 where he made it to the Top 30 but unfortunately had to drop out; and in 2012 he went on to win the Holiday Inn Express Songwriting Challenge by Rolling Stone Magazine and Intercontinental Hotel Group.
Attributing a lot of hard work to his current successes, TRESOR Riziky describes his achievements as both an honour and a blessing. “I am excited about the future. The best is yet to come” expresses TRESOR Riziky.
After a year of mapping out a plan and vision with Benza of Vth Season, TRESOR Riziky is proud to announce that he has signed to the Vth Season label. He joins the likes of multi-award winning artist, AKA, and talented newcomer, Bongi Mvuyana, in the Vth Season stable.
“I am really excited to join Vth Season. We've been talking for over a year now because I admire the work they've achieved with AKA’s music and brand, as well as their work with the rising star Bongi Mvuyana. They fully get and believe in my vision as a singer-songwriter-producer and entrepreneur. I am really excited about the journey ahead. We have a great plan together and are taking things global” conveys TRESOR Riziky.
TRESOR Riziky’s new single, Mt. Everest, will be out this month and will be followed by a full length album, VII, in August 2014.
