What started as a Twitter war between rapper AKA and poet
Ntsiki Mazwai nearly became a real war on Khanyi Mbau’s Mzansi Magic
show, Katch it with Khanyi.
On her show, Khanyi invites celebs for interviews but last week it almost turned into a version of The Jerry Springer Show when two industry enemies came face-to-face and nearly got physical.
AKA
and Ntsiki were scheduled to share a couch on the show but no one knew
the two can’t stand each other. An anonymous crew member said AKA was
surprised to see Ntsiki there. “He wasn’t told he would be sharing the
couch with his enemy,” said the source. AKA made it clear he would never
share the couch with Ntsiki. The source said AKA said he can’t stand
her as she is “despicable” and “rude”. The source said they all cringed
when he got really personal.
“He said he would never sit next to someone who doesn’t bath,” said the source.
The
source continued: “Ntsiki was calm at first. She was embarrassed and
kept whispering ‘come on AKA, sit down’ but eventually lost her cool.”
The
source added that eventually Ntsiki stood up and the two came
face-to-face and had to be separated before things got physical.
Our
source went on: “Ntsiki walked out cursing AKA, telling him to f*ck off
and asking him who the hell he thinks he is. ”Apparently, they had to
chase after Ntsiki and calm her down but she was no longer interested in
the interview.
“We had to beg her to come back,” the source said.
Eventually, the two did the interview separately. But this is not AKA’s first public feud.
A
few weeks ago, it was reported that AKA and new kid on the block rapper
Cassper Nyovest, can’t stand each other and that their beef started on
Twitter as well. AKA refused to comment on the matter and dropped the
phone.
This week Ntsiki said
in an email: “In my 10 years in the industry I have never witnessed such
unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour from a fellow artist.
“Let’s hope in future AKA can separate what happens on Twitter from messing up with his brand and work ethic.
“Somebody
who loves AKA needs to tell him that throwing temper tantrums on set is
not professional, and screaming at women in a disrespectful manner is
called verbal abuse/assault,”she said. Source Sunday Sun
