Johannesburg- Kwaito group Big Nuz is reportedly planning to pay tribute to R Mashesha, by using his picture on their latest album cover.
The Durban-based group allegedly wants to redo the CD sleeve of their latest album and put R Mashesha’s face on the cover.
But this will depend on whether his family agrees or not.
Sunday Sun sources said the group wants to honour R Mashesha by having his picture on the album cover of their latest offering titled For the Fans, which was launched last week before his burial.
“R Mashesha”, real name Sibusiso Khomo, was the third member of Big Nuz, who died three weeks ago after a surgical complication.
A source said Afrotainment boss, DJ Tira, is the one who came with the idea of the new look on the CD sleeve.
“DJ Tira is the one who suggested the new Big Nuz’s CD sleeve be redone to honour R Mashesha, especially seeing that he died on the day of their album launch.
“Other members Mampintsha and Danger welcomed the idea,” the source said.
The source added they are now waiting for the family to observe the traditional 10-day mourning period before they can approach them with the request.
