Gospel star, Sfiso Ncwane has hit back at criticism over the R1.9 million car he bought for his pastor.
Sfiso revealed last week that he bought an AMG Mercedes-Benz for Reverend Francis Anosike, after the pastor "saved" his life. (Read that story here)
The singer claims he suffered from a heart attack, and instead of going to hospital, he called the pastor to pray for him.
But just days after Sfiso boasted about the gesture, it emerged that his mom is not impressed with his splurging.
According to Daily Sun, Sfiso's mother Fikile said that even though her son is generous with other people, she is suffering.
"I have been starving. Sometimes I go to sleep without any food. My fridge is empty," she said. (Read that story here)
Speaking to Vuma FM for the first time since the story broke, Sfiso dismissed the claims, explaining that his mother's comments were "misinterpreted" by the media "to suit their sales."
The gospel star added that he does take care of his family, sends his mother money from time to time, and even built her mom a house.
Despite the drama surrounding his gesture, Sfiso made it clear that he will not be taking the car back from the pastor.
Sfiso also apologised for offending anyone with his gesture.
