Euphonik Pays 1st Year Costs For KZN High Achieving Student

After reading about the achievements of Lindokuhle Mazibuko online earlier this week, one of South Africa’s top DJs, DJ Euphonik, contacted Independent Media saying he wanted to get involved and help the youngster from Bergville realise his dreams.
Lindokuhle, who attended Amangwane High School in Bergville, was the only pupil in his matric class to take on nine subjects, and he scored distinctions in all of them.
He was part of the High Flyers programme, run by the KwaZulu-Natal Education Department, in which special camps were held to boost performances and pupils had access to top teachers and subject advisers.
Lindokuhle’s story was first published in The Mercury’s matric results issue on Wednesday and caught the eye of Euphonik, who tweeted: “If this is legit and this kid is serious about life I will pay part of his 1st year varsity fees.’’
The Independent mobile journalism (Mojo) team contacted Euphonik and helped the two to connect.
Euphonik has vowed to help Lindokuhle during his first year of study at Stellenbosch.
