Erick Rush was born in Dar es Salaam in 1990 and immediately began a life of Traveling, First within Tanzania and later immigrating to The United States. By Age 13 he had lived in 2 continents, 3 countries, and 7 cities eventually settling in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The one thing that was always consistent in his life was Music, which he began growing an appreciation for after watching Michael Jackson.
It wasn’t until he watched a music video called “Jump” by a young duo who went by the name Kriss Kross that he decided, then 7 years old, that he would be a rapper. Gathering inspiration from the likes of Tupac, Nas, Rap-A-Lot & Cashmoney, he eventually found his sound and decided to take Music seriously. In 2012, after 1 Debut Mixtape and 2 failed attempts at college, he was at a crossroad in his life when an oppurtunity arose for him to study @ UKZN in Durban, South Africa. He saw this as a chance to go clear his mind and train himself in the field he loves most, Music & Media.
