which is an extension of his music video for amalobolo , The amalobolo music video reached over a million views and the song topped radio charts for some while , So malumkoolkat decided to give us the full short film.
AMALOBOLO ( Slow Jam sase Mlazi ) is a poetic short film about a forbidden love between two young lovers who come from world’s apart. Against the struggles of class, the two begin to fall deeply in love with each other. This beautiful Zulu love story takes place in the warm city of Durban, South Africa, showing you both sides of South Africa’s playground through the lives of Smanga ( Simiso Zwane aka okmalumkoolkat ) who will do whatever it takes to win the heart of Noluthando ( Princess Zulu ) an alluring girl from a white-picket-fence background of Umhlanga Rocks. The chance meeting of these two lovers makes for a picturesque local takle of the struggle of money, class and love – Nolifa Majozi ( story writer )
