Sundance Music is proud to release Benny Maverick’s new single “Crime of Passion” ft Skye Wanda – this comes after Benny Maverick’s successful 2017/2018 with his hit single ‘Memeza’ which saw the feature of Dladla Mshunqisi and his feature on the SAMA award winning song “Omunye’ by Distruction Boyz, which took the title ‘Song of the Year’.
‘Crime of Passion’ introduces a voice we’ve all once heard before – many would recall seeing Skye Wanda for the first time on Idols in 2015 as one of the Top 16 contestants. She’s since then grew her career by doing live shows, working with with local artists such as Beast and Duncan. Skye Wanda returns as not only a vocalist but also a co-writer of ‘Crime of Passion’ alongside DJ and producer, Benny Maverick.
The single is a creative collaboration of South Africa’s young & bubbling talent, including Golden Beats – producer extraordinaire and the extremely talented Xolani JazzMelo on the guitar. The song addresses a contemporary relationship topic where miscommunication between two people in love can cause complications leaving the question – is this a ‘Crime Of Passion?’ You can expect a musically inclined, soulful, vibrant and radio-friendly sound that will get you on your feet and singing along to the catchy love-hate story.
