Kwesta took to Instagram Live with Slikour after releasing two singles to discuss the music, family matters among other things. The masses have labeled the newly released project, #2skeif an EP but the Ngud hit composer says it's #2Skeif. We, with the masses together with Slikour were expecting an album from Kwesta as that was what he was building to, Many were left disappointed when the Katlehong born superstar released 2 single, #Skeif. Kwesta explained why he pushed the album back, he mentioned various points, what caught our ears, is that he is immensely affected by Covid19 like the rest of the world. We are all trying find ways to find ways of getting/working through this pandemic and Kwesta is no exception, so because of Covid19 Kwesta said, he's looking for the most natural state to release his album as he want this project to be the best thing he's ever done and wouldn't like to look back and blame this pandemic as the reason for negative impact to his album performance on the market. The Vur Vai hit maker further explained why two songs? he dropped two songs because he owes Sony music South Africa two songs to be officially be out of his current contract. Kwesta is now a free man!!!
Slikour asked what formula is used in picking the songs and addressing the growing notion that Kwesta is starting to sound the same. Kwesta extinguished any negative flames insinuating that he's a one sound artist by reminding people how diverse he is. Slkour reiterated his words that Kwesta is probably the only artist that you can put on a Rock song, traditional or any other genre for that matter and still come out on top. Kwesta said we should not expect the Ngud' sound type of album with Dakar III.
Kwesta also touched on which artists are featured artists on Dakar III, speaking of "touch", Kwesta spoke very fondly of Touchline, It's been an open secret of how kwesta feels about touchline's skills and obviously touchline is in the album. We can confirm so far the album has the Canadian rapper, singer, worldwide superstar Tory Lanez. African giants Mr Eazi and Stonebwoy are also on Dakar III. is The King Of African Rap is waiting for a verse from Cassper Nyovest, we cant wait to hear which direction they took with this song as their last song was Ngud' shuuuu!!! no pressure. Kwesta mention that he did few songs with AKA, it's just a matter of choosing one song Kwesta added. We learnt that Indigo stella, Zola, Zingah & Raplyf family namely Kid X, TLT & Gobi Beast round off the star studded line-up on Dakar III. If it wasn't for Covid19 we would be bumping DakarIII, Kwesta said, we definitely can't wait for the album, in the interim we'll enjoy #2Skeif. azishe!!!
