FOLLOWING the sudden death of her baby girl, Afro-jazz singer Judith Sephuma has decided to postpone her upcoming show on Friday.
Her Experience Of A Legacy tour was scheduled to take place at the Durban Playhouse in KZN.
The A Cry, A Smile, A Dance singer said the show is very personal and she does not have the strength to connect and give her fans and music lovers everything they would expect on stage for two hours.
“I would like to mourn my child and spend a little time with my family while I gather the strength to continue working,” said the singer.
Judith is married to celebrity photographer Siphiwe
Mhlambi.
Their three-month-old baby Mbalenhle Mhlambi died last week and was laid to rest on Thursday.
The baby was apparently born in November at 32 weeks.
She was only discharged from hospital a month before her death.
Judith’s manager Kgomotso Modise said they would announce a new date soon.
“Purchased tickets will still be valid for the new date and are refundable at Computicket should the purchaser wish it.”
