"The Kings of The
Weekend" - Naves and Sphectacula - mean business as they finally release a
full album after two years of dropping singles in the music scene.
The DJs/Metro FM personalities and "1's and 2's presenters" 17 tracker debut album drops this coming spring. Led by the fired up "KOTW Anthem", featuring kwaito star Professor on vocals, the album is released under the duo's label "Eminent Productions" in association with Universal Music.
Seen as a massive project,
the CD will feature acts such as DJ Tira, Big Nuz, Khaya Mthethwa, OK
Malumkoolkat, Kwesta, Donald, Reason, Skwatta Kamp's Sugasmakx, Bozza, and many
more. The two roped in producers such as DJ Clock, Mobi Dixxon, Bass (Oskido's
son), DJ Mshega, Maphorisa, Kaya Mthethwa, DJ Nicks on the first single, and a
lot more in the mix well.
"We are gunning for the album of the year next year at the SAMA," said Sphectacula on a radio interview with Euphonik on 5FM, "and we are going for the Metro's (Metro FM Music Awards) as well". "This will be the album for the festive season and it will get everybody excited about it."
Scheduled to drop on the
fourth of September, the release will be followed up with a nationwide tour.
"If your city is not part of the schedule", Sphe insists that you get
in touch with them and that city will be added on.
