Bonang and DJ Zinhle to Settle Matter Out Of Court

An out-of-court settlement is on the horizon for showbiz's towers DJ Zinhle and Metro FM presenter Bonang Matheba after they were embroiled in an ugly catfight over hip-hop camel AKA.
Matheba's lawyer Bongani Khoza and Zinhle's legal representative will meet tomorrow to thrash out details of the settlement. The two legal brains were to meet on Friday but postponed the gathering due to hectic schedules.
Matheba referred all questions to Khoza, who said: "We can only confirm the meeting has been moved to Monday."
DJ Zinhle, real name Ntombezinhle Jiyane, referred us to her public relations manager Nomndeni Mdakhi, who had not responded to queries by late yesterday.
The two apparently agreed to settle out of court after Matheba's lawyer wrote to DJ Zinhle, giving her an ultimatum to either apologise for accusing his client of being a home wrecker or face litigation.
The letter, seen by Sunday World and demanding that the apology be made by last Monday, read in part: "Our client has thus instructed us to demand from you, as we hereby do, that you give an undertaking, by no later than the close of business on Monday, September 14 2015, that you shall refrain from publishing defamatory statements about her.
"The apology shall be made by no later than the close of business on Monday, September 14 2015, and refrain from threatening our client. Should you not accede to the aforesaid demands, our instructions are to immediately apply for an interdict against yourself at the High Court, in respect of the threatening conduct that you are displaying against our client and the costs of such an application shall be for your account."
But DJ Zinhle cocked a snook at Matheba's demands and posted snide remarks on her Twitter account.
Sunday World learnt that Khoza was shopping around for a formidable advocate this week to apply for an interdict when DJ Zinhle extended the olive branch.

Bonang Sues DJ Zinhle

Mzansi's "it girl" Bonang Matheba is suing DJ Zinhle for defamation after their public spat over rapper AKA got nasty this week.

Matheba's lawyers sent DJ Zinhle, real name Ntombezinhle Jiyane, a letter demanding she apologise to the Metro FM and Top Billing presenter.
Bongani Khoza, Matheba's representative, was also preparing documents to submit to the South Gauteng High Court.
This was in a bid to apply for a court interdict to stop DJ Zinhle from making public statements about "Queen B".
DJ Zinhle was slapped with the court papers this week after announcing on her blog that Matheba was a blackguard who wrecked her engagement to the award-winning rapper.
The "it girl" confirmed a letter of demand was sent to DJ Zinhle on her instruction.
Part of the letter read: "Our client has thus instructed us to demand from you, as we hereby do, that you give an undertaking, by no later than the close of business on Monday, September 14 2015, that you shall refrain from publishing defamatory statements about her.
". And that you shall refrain from publishing any statements that may cause harm to her emotional wellbeing.
"Withdraw the statement that you made about our client on or about September 10 2015., issue a public apology, wherein you apologise to our client for the defamatory statements you made against her.
"Such apology shall be published through the mediums you used when you defamed our client.

"And refrain from threatening our client. Should you not accede to the aforesaid demands, our instructions are to immediately apply for an interdict against yourself at the High Court, in respect of the threatening conduct you are displaying against our client.
"The costs of such an application shall be for your account."
DJ Zinhle had not responded by the time of going to press.
According to a source close to the catfight, Khoza would have filed the papers last week but was derailed by an intervention from DJ Oskido, DJ Zinhle's boss.
"He wants peace between the two girls," said the mole.
"You are likely to see DJ Zinhle withdrawing her statement and apologising to Bonang if she can't produce evidence to that effect."
